GAP Farming Resort April 2016
GAP Farming Resort 2015
For our monthsary, my boyfriend and I decided to go swimming, because it's summer and to give me lessons in swimming as well. He chose GAP Farming Resort. The resort is just a walking distance from our house. My family used to go here every now and then for leisure when I was still very young. My last visit to the place was in 2012 for our video graphics project.
The resort was built in the 1970's. It's mainly for educational tours. It has a swimming pool, grotto, Japanese cave, fruit trees, orchids, statues and flowers. The resort also has a restaurant, chapel, and a function hall. It's a good place for pictorials such as prenups. It's well known for the Land of Promise landmark.
Hello, Land of Promise. #PangakoSayo #YnaAndAngelo #hurhur |

The resort also has an exhibit of statues of animals which can be commonly seen in the Philippines. You can ride on them too, like we did. Below are some of them.
Just be careful in climbing on top, you might rip your pants. Hahaha |

The resort also has restaurant and a souvenir shop. The photo below shows a model of the whole resort.
It also has a grotto and a wishing well.

It also has live farm animals such as ducks, horses and carabao.

They also have a parade of the presidents of the Philippines and the national heroes.

There was also a convention of the not-like-ours. Here is one of the participants - the mananggal.

There are plenty of tables in the resort which are for free. You can nap, sit, or eat. It's a perfect place for a picnic with the family. They also have horseback riding and carabao riding. You can also have a tour at a Japanese cave for Php 10.00.
They also have a swimming pool. The entrance fee to the pool is Php 50.00 per head. We also paid for a small table which costs Php 20.00 for the two of us. They also have bigger tables which are for Php 100.00. You'll have to pay for the pool entrance fee and the table at the cashier located at the restaurant.
Rules and Regulations.
The resort is open at 7:30 AM until 5:00 PM.
How to get there:
- Taxi: You can ride a taxi from any point of the city and just tell the driver to drive you to GAP Farm.
- Commute: From the Downtown Area of Davao. You can ride a jeep heading to Maa and tell the driver to drop you at Motorpool. From Motorpool, ask a trisiboat driver to drive you to GAP Farm.
