BuDa Tour 2018

Image
Are you looking for a place away from the busy hustle and bustle of the Davao City? Are you looking for a place to cool down and chill? Thinking about going to Baguio City? Look no further! Davao City's own version of Baguio is just an hour away from the heart of Davao City. What's in there to explore? Plenty actually. And here are just a few of the spots you can visit in Davao City's version of Baguio. We took the tour on a holiday, during the Lunar New Year last February 16. We took of from UM Matina Campus at around 3:30 AM. We weren't really sure of our itinerary since our company just aims to explore BuDa.  We reached our first stop at around 4:30 AM. We were there to wait for sunrise. There's this sea of clouds which can be seen in the place. Something we don't see everyday, right? The name of the resort is Sonnenberg Mountain View (not sure though, but I'm sure of the Sonnenberg). It has been featured in local and national TV shows. It is said ...

Den Yho's Place 2017

Image
Den Yho's Place is one of the places to be visited if you're in Davao Del Sur. It's owned by renowned artist Kublai Milan. Kublai Milan is known for his artworks which can be seen in People's Park. :) The place is located in a cool place in the mountains, overlooking Mount Apo. It's a perfect place for unwinding and staying away from the stress of the city. The place has a swimming pool, a restaurant and the Agong's House. To get to the resort, you need to walk uphill from the gate. Picture picture while walking up. /kapoy friend. Hahaha The view from the top. Wow no? :) The swimming pool. :) The viewdeck The playground :) Behind the "Land of Peace" and the Agong's House. The trees to the Agong House. We didn't go to the Agong House anymore because we got tired of all the climbing we did to get to the place and from the Camp Sabros walk we had earlier.

Pawsome Dog Cafe 2017

Image
I've always wanted to visit restaurants and cafes with unique concepts, particularly I want to visit pet cafes and play with pets. I have seen and read about pet cafes such as Barkin Blends which is located in Manila and I really want to pay them a visit. Good thing is I don't have to fly to Manila to experience being in a dog cafe because one has recently opened here in Davao City. Yup, you read that right! Davao City has its own dog cafe! It's located at Autoville compound at F. Torres St. Autoville compound is just beside Davao Convention, in case you're not familiar with it.  We paid the cafe a visit last Black Saturday, it was full house when we came in.  In front of the cafe. Interesting interior. :) It has two parts: the cafe (where you can order and eat your meals and drinks) and the playroom (where the dogs are.) The cafe offers a wide range of drinks and meals prices start at 65 pesos for an espresso. They also offer packages which includ...

Seagull Mountain Resort 2016

Image
Davao City is famous for its location being one ride away to well known beaches and resorts and fast growing downtown area but aside from these Davao City also has its own little Baguio where you can experience cold temperature, trek mountains, chase falls and even pick strawberries. This part of Davao City is called Marilog District where you can find many resorts to stay if you can to have a quiet resting place away from the city. One of the well known resorts in the area is Seagull Mountain Resort. It's a 1-2 hour ride from the city proper. It is located at the Bukidnon-Davao (Buda) Road. It's a great place to spend time with your loved ones or even by yourself. I have been here three times: 2014 with my TCPNEP friends, 2016 with my workmates and recently, last new year with my boyfriend's family .  During my first time in the place, we stayed overnight and rented their tents at the campsite. Their tents are made of concrete walls and a roof shaped like a tent. I...
